Main Description
The client asked me to design the poster for the artists’ exhibition period as well as the brand stationery of the gallery.
Analyzing the poster concept
Antiparos is a small island in the southern Aegean, at the heart of the Cyclades islands. The “Kastro” (castle) of Antiparos constitutes a settlement. It is a single, autonomous, residential unit. The whole complex was arranged around a square courtyard, in the middle of which  a central tower rose.
The creative idea behind this concept derives from the architectural scheme of the castle itself (square and middle circle).
1 - Spring poster 2014: Spring is implied in the picture by the squared colored area in the center, whereas the yellow circle symbolizes the spring sun/ sunlight.
2 - Summer poster 2014: Extending the same concept on the summer exhibition poster, the summer is implied by the white stones of a beach and the peel of a watermelon in the middle.
3. Summer 2015: The concept is based on patterns and shapes that appear on ancient cycladic crafts. Combining this idea with the shape of the door entrance of the castle area, I created a modern and geometric synthesis using the color range that can be found on those ancient cycladic crafts.
4. Summer 2016: Staying close to the square-circle concept, I created a plate of multiple same-centered circles on a squared shape background using a yellow to gold color range.
Analyzing the brand stationery concept
I avoided complex designing and I used the white color as a background just to imply one of the two colors that characterize the Cyclades islands (white: sun, blue: sea). Instead of blue I used the green-brown logo color which already existed along with the logo to deliver a memorable identity.
