BEAST MODE
The aim of the project is to both reflect and appeal to specific gender and age demographics with design solutions that compliment the physical nature of a product package. To establish and develop a visual personality that confidently represents and conveys a theme that also clearly appeals to a specific target audience demographic.
The enhancement potion is called: Beast Mode, and is a potion that boosts mental and physical strength.
This potion is targeted at 18-25 year olds who wish to enhance their performance in every day life and need that extra kick to go Beast Mode. The initial potion was designed to appeal to gym goers and for those who workout, but I found this limited the amount of people it would engage with. So it was necessary to alter how this potion may work for not only those who need that enhancement physically, but also for those who may need that boost mentally.

The design approach I went with for the personality of the product is evidently raw and rugged, as if the illustration of the beast was ready to come out of the bottle, this ties in with who it is targeted at and also what the product is all about. I chose to illustrate an angry Gorilla with it’s mouth wide open as if it’s is roaring to link in with the potion and what the potion does. I used the illustration of the Gorilla’s teeth in the Title of the potion, as well as the accompanying composition on the back of the bottle because it correlates with the front logo. The typography used works well with the entire composition because it announces what the name of the potion is with it’s bold, thick lines and it’s dominance across the back of the bottle.
