emerge.me serves its users by improving their understanding of the risks they have for facing emergencies, and helping them bridge the gap left by most healthcare plans. It was a collaborative project. As freelancing UI designer, I mainly worked with technical architect to design and launch the new website.

THE GOAL
After discussing with the team at emerge.me, we identified user experience goals and the measure of success for the new website.
User experience ideas
We would like to use gamification techniques to create a more interesting experience compared to the typical health insurance site. The user area (dashboard and sub-pages like registration, individual questions, checkout, claims, etc) should be based around an avatar that the user builds for themselves.
Understand the System
In order to get a better design solution, I created an interaction map to help understand the user experience system created by the team at emerge.me, its functionality, and how the functionality is available to users.
REBRANDING
Logo Design
The elements and typeface in the old logo are overlapped which are visually redundant. In order to keep the logo clean and flat, I reduced visual clutter, and made the rectangular elements more rounded to match the style of this typeface.
