Crisis report: Greece
2015

Five years of crisis in Greece: In Spring 2010 the EU-States and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) saved the Greek Government from bankruptcy. However, what about Greece? What were the circumstances which lead to the crisis? How can the backgrounds and effects be described? Which opportunities, risks and prognoses are viable options for the country?

The »Crisis report: Greece« is documenting the crisis from different point of views. With this report I wanted to contribute to a deeper understanding of the crisis and their dramatic effects. To obtain a high level of confidence, the report’s structure follows the structure of most Annual reports published in Germany: On a chronic of the crisis between 2010-2015, a review of the situation, social and financial tables and graphs and further informations follow. The report combines economic and social-scientific texts with charts, diagrams, press articles and photos.

The report is the Bachelor Thesis of Communication Designer Maximilian Appelt at the University of applied science Muenster/Germany. It was supervised by Prof. Gisela Grosse and Designer Florian Kleinehollenhorst. The pictures were provided by Photographer Angelos Tzortzinis from Athens/Greece.
