the future of design / the design of the future
Zeromile Magazine is produced by students at Metropolitan State of College of Denver and sold at local bookstores. Issue number 6 provided an opportunity for me to integrate my illustration and design skills, while gaining valuable experience working on a large team under tight deadlines.
When writing the articles, each student was encouraged to follow their own interests and write about any topic, as long as it fit into the theme. For example, we wrote stories about the future of graphic design, workout equipment technology, cars, architecture.
I chose to investigate advances in home technology and wrote as if it were 100 years into the future and a journalist was interviewing me for a feature article on my home. This created an opportunity for me to design informational graphics to illustrate the future technology I envisioned. All illustrations shown in this project were my own.
