“ In Magic We Trust "
I always have the special observations and thinkings of food and cooking. The natural form of vegetable or ham that people bought from grocery store is prototype; the process of cooking, such as peel, slice and heat, is deconstruction; each finished dish is reconstruction. On the other hand, the purpose of cooking is not only provide body energy, but also nourish people’s mind.
Based on the 3 key points, food, cooking and nourish mind, I found alchemy is the best visual form to maintain the 3 key points, because alchemy is a seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, and combination.
Follow these methodology and apply alchemy’s visual language, such as geometric and balanced structures, to create forms that can convey the idea of nourishing and benefiting people’s mind states. I chose the forms to be a restaurant, recipes, menus and special currency.
Most importantly, the first attempt of exploring food influences mindsets also carries the message of rethinking the relationships between our daily diet and releasing pressures.
