O ESCULTOR (The Sculptor) is Scott McCloud's first long fiction in 25 years and, after almost one year of it's american launch, the book will be released in Brazil by Jupati Books (Marsupial Editora).
The story for Folha de S.Paulo is much more than a simple book release piece.
The story and it's presentation were made entirely by me, Angelo Dias. The website was made using Adobe Muse and Adobe Edge Animate.
The website is truly multimedia.
It has text, photos (in form of illustrations mainly), animation (both parallax and the Adobe Edge Animate piece), video (from TED) and audio (parts of the interview).
The title "O Quadrinista" translates to "The Comic Book Artist" or "The Cartoonist". It's related to the way McCloud says that he wants to be remembered as a cartoonist and not as a theorist. The page title relates with the book title, "The Sculptor".
