Bud Powell - The Quintessence is a special edition of 2 vinyls (36 songs) and a book (24 pages) about Bud Powell and his story.
The project was to create a packaging for the vinyls and the book.

The idea of the packaging was to create a cover with 3 separated parts: 1 for the book and 2 for the vinyls.

______________________ The book
The book is a hard cover A5 that fit into the pocket of the packaging.
The idea was to create rhythm with the lines, that's why the text is left stamped.
To increase the idea of rhythm, the legends comes along with blue lines. It's now easier to find the info you need.

The Bud Powell free font.
The idea was to create a font that can actually play with different type of sound.
From high-pitched which are thiner and lighter to bass which are bold and fatter.
You can now play with it by creating your words regarding how they sound.
