I call these photographs impressions because they are following the impressionist paintings of the late 19th century. The definition of Impressionism: "...characterized by the goal of reproducing an impression of a subject by use of reflected light and color and the blurring of outlines." This effect is not created digitally, but rather through the use of a vintage camera with a special lens.
