As a part of my summer internship at Amazon Development Center, Bengaluru I worked with Seller Experience Team responsible for improving the experience of sellers. During the internship I worked on two projects:

 

1.      Listing automation tool

2.      Easy ship integration on Amazon seller App 

 

Designing listing automation tool: The project was to conceptualize and design a tool for the Amazon sellers to do bulk product listing easily and more efficiently. The main challenge was to find-out the problems in the existing systems and tools available on the Amazon Seller Central Website and the current experience related to the bulk listing tool. The initial research started with understanding the sellers and conducting expert interviews (data analysts, seller experience team and the on boarding team). The secondary research involved analyzing the competitors for seller onboarding and listing tools thoroughly.

Data collected from the initial research and user studies were analyzed to define the design opportunities. I conducted several rounds of brainstorming sessions with my design mentor and team to come up with the wireframes and mock-ups of the interface. The prototype was then reviewed with the experts at Amazon and went through multiple rounds of iterations. Finally, the prototype was tested with a sample size of 5 sellers and final recommendations, onboarding instructional design mock ups were presented to the team for review.

 

Easy ship integration on Amazon seller App: This project was focused completely on the experience of the sellers using the Amazon seller App. My job was to integrate the Easy ship order scheduling experience in the app. This involved analyzing the desktop experience and finding the pain points. Expert interviews and extensive brainstorming sessions were carried out to come up with a new information architecture and user flow for the app. The main features of this project include single click scheduling, easy navigation and easy adaptation. Visuals and Mockups were prepared after multiple rounds of discussions and iterations. The final prototype was then tested with 10 small-scale sellers. The reviews and suggestions were shared with the team for further improvement.
