Ten Years Museum of Typography winning poster

1st place at poster competition for the ten years of Museum of Typography at Chania, Greece.
The only museum of typography in Greece organized an open-to-all poster competition for its 10 years of establishment on June 2015. This is the poster that came in the first place and won the grand prize.

The poster was designed after thorough research and understanding of the world of typography. As inspiration stood the words of the founder of the Museum of Typography. The aim was to illustrate the workplace, effort, passion and toil of linotypes and printers, who unfolded their soul over papers, ink and prints. The human character is emphasized heavily, because we must not neglect, that typography was born and developed with our own hands.

The winning poster is presented here, along with the process and some backstage photographs.

The competition and the ceremony received attention from local media and the local star newspaper Haniotika Nea, which featured the winning poster in its next issue.

The winning ceremony, as well as a complete tour of the museum took place on the 2nd of August 2015 in Chania Greece.
