Nina was born on a day in mid-summer. A sunflower, the favorite flower of the mother, was the ideal theme to introduce this beautiful daughter to the world in a stylish way. Besides stylish, her announcement needed to be cheerful and of course sunny. So I used letterpress as a technique to subtly incorporate all of this, while keeping the typical forms of a sunflower.
The subtle, tickling blind letterpress was executed for the leafs and sunflower seeds. Stylish matte gold foil letterpress was used for the name and announcement. A fresh, happy, yellow colored edge, that perfectly fits the color of the envelope and the digital printed baby drink cards, applies that cheerful touch. This sunny birth card is printed on cane sugar paper with a weight of 600gr. This is my first experience with letterpress, printed by Polyprint. I'm very excited about the result and looking forward to my next project.
