While exploring Tuscany in April 2014, we decided to visit San Gimignano, a small hill top medieval village in the province of Siena. We came across this great little Piazza, the Piazza del Duomo, where there was this kind of alcove area where a group of local gentlemen gathered. I thought that this must be something they do each day, they sat there watching, barely talking, as the tourists strolled through their village.

So I sat there and watched them. And snapped away.

I guess sometimes your timing is just right, the light is just right and the subject perfect. Like a scene right out of a Fellini film.
