The soloution to the brief is to create a promotional gift pack that can purchased and given to somebody, the gift has to be desireable enough to make someone want to buy it and give it to somebody else. So I have chosen to do marbles for the company “Mega marbles”. I want to create a marble pack that is more than just a mesh sack that contains about twenty or thirty marbles, I want to design a pack that will be appealing and will make somebody want to pick up the pack and purchase it. To do this I will need to find the right style of box and image to use to captivate the viewer and do something that is good enough to make somebody want to buy a box that contains marbles along with other items that will add value to this pack.

 

 

This box is made up of twelve equally sized square shapes, that need to be folded in a certain way so that the panels lock together. It is best to print the squares on a thicker 300gsm board so that when each square is folded, it will memorize it’s shape and not fold open when it is being put together. A good quality printer will also have to be used so that the bright colours come out correctly and keep their vibrant look. Printing this package dieline on good quality board will also ensure that it is strong, compact and fits together well when assembled. To print this package it will be more than a three colour job which might work out more expensive when printing in large quantities.
