This illustration was done for a new section in children magazine ¡elé! called Mythologic Creatures.
Phoenix´s minute of fame!
In this section mythology is resumed using one creature each time a new ¡elé! number comes out.
First a preview phoenix was needed for the previous number.
Then, using the already finished preview phoenix, I sketched the rest of the section.
Sketched some background.
Deciding which beak form to use.

Then did some sketches for the flames.
The final outcome.
And to make the designer´s life a little bit easier some diagramming of the text on the illustration.
