We were asked to remap Gezi Park after the demonstrations which took place there in 2013.
First of all I made a reflection about how public spaces have to be and also, I studied the history of the Taksim Square - Gezi Park in order to understand the conflict from the beginning.
After I had a clear idea about what happened there I decided not to do any drawing, in spite of that I took the most representative pictures of the demonstration and then mixed then with images of the Park.
Because now the Park and the people who fight for it are just one, and Gezi has become a symbol of the citizens strength.
Now is the moment to defend our public areas, we can´t allow anyone to steal what is public.
