For Jack Daniel's 161st birthday, south-eastern artist Herb Williams was selected to break a wold record of largest glass bottle mosaic. The piece was to be built with Jack Daniel's bottles while being recoreded from an overhead camera.

 

Said artist approached artist/designer Hart Armstrong to design and build a master 30-foot floor grid out of the iconic Jack Daniel's portrait. The grid was constructed to consist of 2,120 (the number required to break the record) four by four inch squares (the proportions of a JD bottle of whiskey), then broken into 5-foot panels to be reconstructed by the artist on the day of the event.
