A La Cart! Food Truck Festival
Poster & Branding
Created as a submission to the GAERF Pizazz of Print contest, A La Cart! is a fictional food truck festival that happens in San Luis Obispo. I created the branding of this event, the main event poster, and a fake website to make this event look official. The GAERF contest exists to show how print is more than just paper. In this case, my poster leads to a website!
Each of my classmates had to choose one of six event categories and conceptualize a new event or re-brand an existing event. Food trucks really appeal to me because of their local and mobile nature, so I decided to go with the name "A La Cart" because of how quick and easy they are. I hand-lettered the A La Cart! logo and edited it with Adobe Illustrator. The individual food images were traced with my Wacom Tablet, and the poster was printed on a Ricoh digital printer and mounted on foam core.
