Einleitung
Im Verlauf des Studiums stehen Studierende häufig vor dem Konflikt, Aufgaben die zur Erfüllung ihres Studienauftrags notwendig sind aufzuschieben. So erhalten meist andere Aufgaben den Vorzug, welche in ihrer Erfüllung angenehmer wirken, als der ursprüngliche Auftrag.
Als Fachbegriff für das Aufschieben verwendet die Wissenschaft »Prokrastination«. Hierbei sprechen die meisten Fachleute von negativen Aspekten, die beim Ausleben der Prokrastination in Erscheinung treten. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit fokussiert sich nicht auf das offensichtliche und bekannte Problem des Aufschiebens. Das Augenmerk wird auf den Sachverhalt gelegt, dass eine unwillkommene allerdings wichtige Handlung verschoben wird, aber man dennoch produktiv ist. Man erfüllt andere Aufträge und generiert nichtsdestotrotz Resultate. Aufbauend auf diesem Sachverhalt setzt sich der Autor das Ziel, dies in Form von mehreren Postern zu visualisieren.
Um das Thema fachgerecht zu behandeln, bedient sich der Verfasser an der Darstellungsform der Informationsgrafiken, welche die Gesamtzusammenhänge der Problematik optisch aufbereiten können. Bei der Ausarbeitung jener visuellen Repräsentation bildet sich eine fiktive Dramaturgie, welche eine Metaebene generiert. Der Autor will das Thema Prokrastination behandeln, doch stellt sich heraus, dass dieser selbst Leidtragender ist. Sinngemäß werden andere Aufgaben als der Hauptauftrag ausgeführt. So vergeht die Zeit für die Erarbeitung, welche mit der Erstellung von Grafiken verschwendet wird, die keinerlei inhaltliche Qualitäten besitzen. Vielmehr dienen diese als Nährboden für das aktive Aufschieben.
Das Ergebnis der Bachelorarbeit besteht somit viel mehr aus Elementen, die von Prokrastination beeinflusst sind, als die wahrhaftige und seriöse Behandlung des Themas als solches. Im Verlauf dieser Arbeit entwickelt sich der Inhalt der Infografiken von der Darstellung unwichtiger Informationen zur Reflexion des persönlichen Konfliktes des Studenten.
Introduction
Throughout the course, students are often faced with the conflict, that they delay tasks which are necessary to fulfill their study. Usually other tasks which act more pleasant in their fulfillment as the original order will be prefered.
As a technical term for postponing, science uses "procrastination". Most professionals speak of the negative aspects that appear when living out procrastination. The aim of this work does not focus on the obvious and well-known problem of procrastination. The attention is paid to the fact that an unwelcome but important action is postponed while being still productive. We choose other tasks and nevertheless generate results. Based on this state of affairs the author sets the goal of this visualization in the form of several posters.
In order to address the issue properly, the author uses information graphics as form of presentation to show the overall context of this problem. During the elaboration of this visual representation, a ficitional drama is established which generates a form of meta-level. The author wants to adress the issue of procrastination, but it turns out that he himself is a victim. Analogously other tasks are performed instead of the main assignment.
Time goes by for the development which is wasted with the creation of graphics that have no substantive qualities. Instead they serve as a breeding ground for active procrastination.
The result of this thesis is more about the elements which are affected by procrastination, not the true and serious treatment of the subject. In the course of this work, the contents of the inforgraphics develop from the representation of unimportant information to the reflection of the student's personal conflict.
