The Games have grown so much over the years that nearly every nation is now represented.
This growth has created numerous challenges and controversies, including boycotts, doping, bribery, and a terrorist attack in 1972.
The Games also constitute an opportunity for the host city and country to showcase themselves to the world.
This sportive event takes place every 4 years in a different city of the world and it takes up to 2 weeks. During this period, this city becomes not only the world sports capital, but the social, cultural and mediatic capital as well.
Such an amount of attention in such a precise period of time and space generates a huge amount of data, statistics, curiosities and milestones that are gathered in this work in a visual manner in order to be correctly visualized and interpreted.
This has been done by means of infographics, as a graphic discipline to visually communicate data sets and information that help understanding this raw data in a straightforward way.
