The product I have designed here is the outershell of a BTE (Behind the Ear) Hearing Aid. The idea was to pick any living creature from the Earth and design a product inspired from the form and characteristic of that creature. My inspiration here is a SeaHorse.
From my study, I thought a hearing aid would best suit the basic form amd characteristics of a SeaHorse. One of the main characteristic that I was inspired from was, it's prehensile monkey tail that always curls to hold onto the seaweed to anchor itself from water currents.
Mock-Up model made in clear acryclic sheet and shaped. The proposed material is hard silicone which is an inert substance.
