The following work is a personal publication about photography portfolio – promotion and is presented in two chapters. Each chapter has its own character and expresses a different conceptual module.
In the first chapter there are three different sections that are related to a photographic approach on specific topics and techniques. More specifically, the first section presents the technique of macro zoom with telephoto lens, giving greater emphasis to detail. In the second one, a narrative technique is presented as a series of landscapes. Finally, in the third one, a more experimental technique is implemented through a black and white film with the use of an analog camera. It should be noted that each module is presented and documented through three different poems by Konstantinos Kavafis. The poems have not been selected randomly. Each of them, is used complementary for the reading and interpretation of the images.
The second chapter involves a personal collection of photographs that I captured during a trip in Berlin in Winter 2013. The main objective of this chapter is the image capture of persons, objects and features from the Fleamarket at Mauerpark. This part is essentially a personal visual expression of a city, at a given time, in a specific place. Throughout the book there are some elements which have been associated with numbers which represent the exact geographical location (coordinates) of the area.
