The Airbus A350 XWB
is the latest member of the Airbus Long Range family. More largely built from carbon fiber reinforced plastic, it provides more efficient flight characteristics and economics to airlines and is a direct competitor to the Boeing B787.
The prototype flew for the first time in 2013. The first aircraft to enter service was delivered to Qatar Airways in late 2014.
