Munch & Crunch is a small convenience store located near Katipunan, Quezon City. The client wanted to update the store look to be able to cater to their market's aesthetic and taste.
The challenge was to look less like a sari-sari store and more like a student's pantry and stockroom for all their needs.
Target market:
- A/B students ranging from high school to college level
Menu boards are meant to be on the store's exterior to be able to hide the staircase as well as to attract customers to the store. These boards are painted in black chalkboard paint so menu items or special items can be easily updated.
The logo and store hours are to also be displayed on the exterior. The logo will be placed on the lit boards while store hours will be stickered on the glass along the side of the store as well as painted on the wall facing the street.
Instead of just using the side of the unit to display items for sale on shelves, a bar counter can be installed with stools on the outside so customers can have their snack on site.
The front of store, though faces the street, also is facing the west. This makes the interior of the store very hot especially in the afternoons where there are a lot of customers walking by. To help with this problem, instead of installing an awning, the angle of the board facing the street can be raised or lowered depending on the temperature.
