CONCEPT
Typographic posters pinpoint a snapshot of time. Suggested movement gives the impression of something uneasy happening or the build up to something that is about to happen. The animated poster advertisement allows the content to perform. Motion blur and other animation techniques allow the graphics to suggest tension and suspense. The black and white starkness draws the viewer's focus to the typographic arrangement, form and movement. The addition of music adds to the experience - an unexpected event - in keeping with the tension and suspense nature of Hitchcock's films. The film postcards continue the idea of movement and unexpected changes employing lenticular printing to alter the postcard visual with motion.
