Within the framework of the Highstreet 2012 programme the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is currently reinstating several façades of historical buildings to their original design. objectif have been commissioned to develop a colour and typography scheme for the shop fronts, based on traditional sign written typography. In addition we have been liaising with the tenants of the commercial units about how a design methodology can reinforce the identity of individually owned shops in the light of increasing competition by large-scale retail developments nearby.
