CONCEPT
The table gets it's name from the brass centre which acts like the heart of the table bringing out the contrast between the dark wood and the bright sheen of brass. Another contrast is the organic lines of the metal sheet and the straight line design of the rest of the table. 
This table is designed to stress on the fusion on metal and wood and how the two very different materials merge with eachother.
MAKING
STAINING THE WOOD
The wood used here is neem wood which has a very light color naturally. I have stained the wood to a dark walnut to create the contrast of colour between wood and metal.
BRASS LASER CUTTING
The 1mm thick brass sheet was buffed to a mirror finish and then laser cut to the below design. After being cut, the delicate sheet was polished and sprayed with laquer to protect it from corrosion.
