Emerging out of the blue haze like a menacing maritime pyramid, Stromboli's smoking silhouette is unique. Part of the Aeolian islands, this piece of land has been blackened by years and years of volcanic activity, gained a picture-postcard appearance.
But appearances can be deceptive, Stromboli is much more than that. There's a whole world behind that plume of smoke.
