Some renders I did in 2012 for the introduction of the new Pilot's Watch range from IWC Schaffhausen.

In this shot the two Spitfires were modeled and rendered with 3dsMax and Vray. The clouds in the background and the ocean were generated in VUE by CGI Supervisor Alexander Bouquet. He also created an HDRI from the scenery in VUE, which I used to light the aircraft. The hand-painted diffuse-, normal- and specular maps have a resolution of 8k square.
The F/A-18E Super Hornet and parts of the aircraft carrier were rendered for this shot. Again, the sky and clouds came from VUE. The steam in the foreground was added in Photoshop.
The backround and HDRI were shot by Alexander Bouquet on an old airfield in the north-east of Germany. Same model as before, but with added landing gear. The hangar and tower are also rendered.
