Design Society Events 2014/15

As a designer for Design Society I was tasked with generating possible ideas for posters that would be used to advertise the event.

Each design had to either take inspiration from the lecture title, reference the events subject or be inspired by the designers style of work.

Each design was then critiqued and creatively directed by the rest of Design Society committee.

This poster was created to show the long distance from Manchester to Plymouth that Big Dave made

'What About Yes?'
Wednesday 6th May

The poster is inspired by the talk from SomeOne being about taking opportunities within the industry, the imagery represents a sea of opportunities which is out there for aspiring graphic designers.

'Following Your Creative Heart'

This poster is inspired by the idea that the creative industry is mainly digital, so I created an interlinking 16bit heart to represent the two founding members of Form.

Wednesday 6th May

The vinyl stickers were the beggining of the end fo the sign painting industry, so with that in mind I decided to screen print this poster onto wood effect G.F Smith paper, rather than digital printing it.
