In order to continue the work with pipes, I decided to make an installation as a cummulated body of work, representing my point of view on rehabilitating industrial space. Rather than a finished product, this can be seen as a general perspective on fabric, material, colour and texture that should be used in and on an industrial space. Using only raw material, like raw wool, rusty pipes, and plaster one can intervene on a certain space without ‘disturbing it’s peace’. The installation has a double meaning: it stands on its own as an aesthetic perspective and from it you can also withdraw other ideas or ways of modifying industrial space, from ceramic tiles to woolen wall coverings.
