Made in Sunderland

Project Synopsis:

This project was for the National Glass Centre and was focused on creating branding for their new project 'Made in Sunderland'. The project was small and focused on allowing people to sell products (students in particular) within the Sunderland region. The client wanted a logo for the project, as well designs for ticket prices, banners and a thank you note to go with the projects. The client wanted the project to link towards the hertiage of Sunderland or the national glass centre.

The logo:

For the logo I took the words 'Made in Sunderland' and emphasised the 'MADE' to create an impactful identity placing the 'in sunderland' below. The colours used within the logo are meant to resemble the glass centre and how glass is made with the use of a flame to form and shape glass. I also added small lines to the logo to break up the logo to resemble glass. The orange colour is related to flame used to form glass, with the blue realting to glass, hence why the orange colour comes first.
Other printed material:

For the printed material required for the project I tried to keep them to a simple minimalist style. I used white space to my advantage while also taking elements from the main logo design. I used the glass shard vectors to give the printed materials more depth and involvement with the logo. I also used the same colours as the logo and positioned similar to how the logo is arranged. For the text I kept it close togther for each piece to express the idea of a close society being able to sell these products.
