Zaatari Refugee Camp was first opened on July 28, 2012 with a big population that grows daily so the main problem is the population that makes this place one of the most packed camps in the world.
With the population problem comes the lack of food and water, security problems for the refugees. The last update available said that 80,202 people are living there.Zaatari is a place where people running away from the war have found their new homes since a lot of people there hasn't even seen anywhere but that.
This design focused in bringing them the opportunity to catch their own water with this product that is designed to fit their tents saving a lot of space since that's the main problem. It can collect te water from the rain that causes s many problems in their tents for other purposes such as saving it for showering, filtering and drinking it or for cultivating their own plants for nourishing.
Different models we tried to fit the tents the best way possible making them easy to use and understand.
Final design.
The model was made out of acrylic using laser cutting. After that, it was heated and blended using a handmade mold..For the final look, we spray painted it.
