Mix Tapes: Cover Art- Part 1

A few years ago my good friend started giving out mix tapes for Valentines Day. I was inspired, and after a few years on the receiving end of beautifully crafted mixes and rad packaging concepts I thought I might give it a go and occasionally release mixes of music that I was currently listening to with my immediate friends. Below is one of my latest mix covers and track listings.

"Voodoo Rocks U, Cult Leader"  was inspired by the various artists included in the mix. The darker undertones of songs like "Disciples" by Captain Murphy as well as the anger and thrashing present in "You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire" by Queens of the Stone Age set the ominous tone. Other tracks with popper undertones like "Black Moon Spell" by King Tuff and "Can't Keep Checking my Phone" by Unknown Mortal Orchestra inspired me to poke a little fun at the subject and wreck the grammar and spelling of the Mix Title. Besides, its alway fun to jab at cultish imagery that draws its roots from the popular culture of secret societies. Enjoy!
Thanks for looking!
