How to be a Tourist

Topdeck travels wanted to reach their British target audience of 18 to 30 years old, through a creative and interactive campaign. I played with the stereotypical pictures regular tourists take while abroad and turn this into a certain parody. With stickers placed around town, people would be guided to a certain area where they can take the "perfect tourist picture". In addition to the guerrilla campaign of the stickers, a promotion would be held through facebook and an app to upload your own made pictures and to gain inspiration for fun, tourist pictures.
With the use of large stickers placed throughout town, people could easily find the best spots to create their tourist picture. Each location would also have an inspirational picture to be used as example on the app.
The app would contain a huge list of ideas and images to create the perfect tourist pictures while abroad. Examples would be: "Make an underwater selfie."  or "Pretend to have a beard made of a pizza slice."  
The app also makes it possible to add your own ideas and contribute to the list of inspiration and creative ways
of 'How to be a Tourist'.
Through Facebook the promotion would be easily shared to gain more interest and followers than just the guerrilla campaign alone. Just like on the app, the Facebook page would give creative and fun ideas to create your tourist pictures, in addition they showed ways to get involved into the local community of a certain city to gain the full experience during your holiday.
