In preparation for the Impact 2015, I produced various slides and graphics as templates for live use at retreat. Due to the remote nature of the camp, Media Crew prepares resources in advance for on-site adaptability.
We developed a template layout using Smart Objects, Blending Modes, and layer linking that streamlined the template for ease of use. The template kept a low file size profile and allowed for the student Media Crew to quickly drag and drop any JPEG photo into the template, creating a unique, near-live splash screen for the projectors during speaker sessions. Unique splash screens could be completed from capture of photo to live screen post in as little as 2 minutes, with Smart Layer Styles to filter process the photo automatically in-app.
Template layers included social media and hashtags, as well as cropping guidelines to allow quick adaptation of a design to any aspect ratio.
Impact Retreat features a dance party on the second night, so we developed a series of easy screen overlays for use as animation backgrounds at dance party, again encouraging the use of near-live photos on-screen to feature as many freshmen as possible on-screen.
