Typographic Film Posters

Description of project brief: The brief was to produce two-film posters from the same director. Guy Ritchie was my director of choice. The posters had to represent the films of that director, using only typography to do this. The concept for the ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ poster revolved around the game of chess, much like the film itself, but also as an added touch playing with the shadows reference in the title, to hopefully create extra depth to the final concept. The ‘Snatch’ poster just involves the letter of the title, recreating the story of the film, with t, c and h, chasing the n, which represents the dog, with the A, the diamond in the dog’s stomach. Finally the s is supposed to represent a dog lead, leading to a dog tag.
