'Source' was a project about water conservation and awareness that wanted to promote protection of one of most important natural resources. Because it was about 'water,' we all thought having a "watercolor"-like style would be apt. The main importance in this movie was the moving water animation, so I kept the characters simple in design.

The main importance in this movie was the moving water animation, so I kept the characters simple in design.
Beginning stages of fleshing out the main heroine as a child. These were inspired by a few of the mood board images they sent, based off of some watercolor styled artwork, which were shape oriented, and easy to animate.
Initially, the little girl grows up and has a child of her own, my initial character design was to have her hair tied up to show similarities to the old design. But that was later changed in the process, because the client wanted her to look a bit more mature and generalized.
