In this proyect I had in mind the similarities between nature, more specifically the animals, and the way we (the humans) build things.
 
Nature has always been our biggest inspiration for creation.
1st layer - Colorful Lobster.
I used pencil for the initial drawing and then (a lot of) oil pastels for the color. I used the normal technique, the "dotting" technique and diffuminating with the fingers.
2nd layer - Mechanical Claws.
For the second layer I imagined the lobster's claws as a piece of engineering and I came up with these mechanical claws: one for pressure and the other for cutting. I drew with pencil and colored with Kurekolor markers, then cutted the paper and pasted it into acetate. The whole acetate was attached to the lobster only in the top, so that people could flip back and forth the mechanical layer.
