As a big admirer of H.P. Lovecraft's work, I always wanted to do something inspired by his extensive mythology. So to start I made this cover to what would be a edition containing all his writings.
My approuch to this work was to mix tradicional techniques, charcoal and gouache, and digital manipulation into a image that comes from this key words: deep, occult and cosmic. My intention was to portray Lovecraft as a dark prophet, someone who speaks for the Old Ones, rather than just a simple man.
