identity & menu for a restaurant

My professor of typography's biggest dream:
building a museum of typography in nuremberg, germany.

So our exercise for the semester was to create an identity
and menu for the restaurant in the fictitious museum of typography.

My idea & intention was to combine the history of typography & printing
with the requirement we have in a restaurant.

With reference to typography and humans (the museums' visitors),
I decided to lable it "typisch"
- "typical".
The meaning of "type" = the letter; and "typical" = characteristic, representative.

In the menu, serveral terms of the "Black Art", which are concerned with the
subject of eating & drinking,  are explained. (e.g. 'fish' and 'meat').

Besides I also made a stamp for the logo, I used on several sheets.
