My name is Alex Mediate and I am 18 years old and originally from Las Vegas, NV. I am heading into Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles to pursue my ambitions in the arts.

 

This is some of my recent work from the past year. This work dealt with capturing the distortion of original and undesirable images. The works vary from capturing analog television glitches, to printer flaws, to destroying/altering childhood photos. The original images selected for distortion represent significant people, relationshps, milestones, events, and the epiphany of self-identity in my life. The final, distorted image is supposed to represent the relevance of the original to my current state in life.
