A luxurious approach to something that is purely functional based, for something to sit in it’s environment and never been interacted with but be so prominent, why has the Aesthetic value of the Epirb not been questioned?
Aimed toward the high end recreational vessel, the Epirb comes in a sleek handcrafted Carbon Fiber casing with injection moulded plastic top. A low power LED screen displays critical information in the time of need such as satellite position, last connection, POB, vessel registration & details along with an LED Strobe light to attract attention.
A 3-meter lanyard sits inside the device in a watertight compartment filling with water when released and acts as ballast to keep the Epirb upright.
A combination of materials have come together to evoke a sense of luxury and style one should demand for their boat, yet the Epirb is still easily identifiable as a safety device with it’s subtle reflective orange bands. A delayed automatic activation occurs when the user removes the device from it’s holder.
