Part of a global project called Redefining Craft in the Twenty First Century. A proposal for 3 days about the work of traditional and digital artisans commissioned by The Rodriguez & I.E.D Madrid Moda Lab
 
It aims to redefine crafts in current century through 6 different workshops in 3 days where local artisans work closely with international digital artists, pooling their knowledge and discussing the fusion of techniques and materials to define new processes and creation formats, production and communication for the wave of the future with a group of students & professionals. During these three days the participants will face a principle antagonistic concepts as "craft-tech", "local-global", "tradition-innovation" or "heritage-future".
 
Among the speakers, artists like Julia Koerner, who making 3D prints for the designer Iris Van Herper, creative studio based in Paris, ill-Studio or Afroditi Psarra, a multidisciplinary artist specializing in Arduino. They formed tandem with local traditional artisans specializing in leather work Studio Oficio, stamping specialists from Hola Por Qué,
or embroidery artisans from JT Bordadores and others to redefine Craft in the Twenty First Century.
 
I participated in the Printing Workshop taught by the traditional printing studio from Madrid Hola Por Qué & the digital Parisian artists ill-Studio, creating a handmade printing silk scarf starting to a digital design based in a famous cartoon character.
