EGG ＋ EGO = EGGOISM

The aim of EGGOISM is to show our collaboration from every field of art. We think that the creation of an art event is the best way to train and learn ourselves. The reason why we chose “eggs” as the topic of this exhibition is “eggs” are cool and pop as motif but “egoism” is too strong. So we decided to mix up two contrasting concepts and create the theme that is still cool and friendlier to everybody. We wanted to see how different artists, different egos, can express eggs.

グループ展は私たちクリエイターにとって、自分の作品と向き合える良い機会であると同時に、さまざまな分野から参加するアーティストの作品を身近に体感できる唯一無二の空間である。EGGOISMでは、日本だけでなく海外から参加する学生や若手アーティスト６人が、それぞれ自分の「エゴ」を提示する。「たまご」というポップでアイキャッチーなモチーフと「エゴイズム : 利己主義」という堅いテーマを融合させることによって、来場者にも想像しやすく身近なテーマにするよう心がけた。
