THE TOWNS OF COLONIZATION IN LLEIDA, SPAIN
This book presents a graphic collection of works done during the 2012-13 year at La Salle School of Architecture (URL). The original documents were provided by the Historical Archive of Lleida. The INC (National Institute of Colonization), built four towns in the area of Catalunya and Aragó: Gimenells (Alejandro de la Sota, 1943); Sucs (José Borobio, 1945); Pla de la Font (José Borobio, 1955); Vensilló (Manuel Jiménez Varea, 1961). All they share a unified agricultural landscape with domestic nature and cross attractive visuals. Also this presents drawings and models about the streets, houses and churches in the four towns. From an historical point of view, these four villages are an example of the evolution of the architecture and the urbanism on our country.
