This project was for the exhibition in 2013 which was about fairy tales and beautiful stories. The reason that I chose 'Le petit prince' was it was such a beautiful story and the little prince could be perfect 'prince charming' for the little girl that I was drawing about (or maybe to me. :-D)
At the beginning I wondered about drawing this story with 'Ana Sucré' style because there already exists beautiful illustrations which is done by the writer, Saint-Exupéry. But it turned out as an enjoyable project that I had fun with and I also hoped not only to display my paintings but also engage with people through my work such as the map and the box.
I wish someday we can visit the little prince and have a chat with that interesting boy. My map will be useful then though the local information would be out of date a bit. Enjoy!
