Wake Up and Go! (The Database Narrative)

Interactive Flash Design
Professor: Paul Bruski
The objective of this assignment was to create an interactive flash website that gave meaning to a “database” (i.e. a collection). I decided to use my mother’s chicken item collection, which I related to the benefits of waking up early. The first part of my project asks the user to find the hiding chickens and learn why it is good to rise early, while the second half asks the viewer to put the chickens away where they belong and learn tips to help them wake up earlier.

I created the project using ActionScript 3.0 and Adobe Flash CS5. Photographs, background and interface images edited/created using Adobe Photoshop CS5. The scene background illustrations were created using Adobe Illustrator CS5, and the background music was created using Apple Garageband.
