Developmental Design Practice - Modern restaurants

This University module was all about developing our creative minds and skills. We were given an environment, from which we were encouraged to investigate into 3 different concept areas where we felt improvements could be made. The enviroment that was given to us was 'Modern Restaurants'.
From these concepts we had to choose just one of the concepts that we felt had real validity that could help improve a restaurant. I chose to look further into a storage solution that accommodated a person’s belongings that weren’t needed when eating in a restaurant, such as items of clothing, accessories, bags, and personal belongings, etc...
Once deciding which concept to run with I spent some time researching different chairs that are used in restaurants and I had fun sketching down many different designs and ways in which a chair could be designed accommodate a persons belongings.

After sketching out different ideas, I started filtering out the better designs and ideas to come up with three final designs that would meet the criteria that I had set.
Choosing one of these designs I modelled up the product and created a full restaurant environment in 3DS Max in order to see how this new chair would fit into situ.
