Brief / Summary of Work

As sister companies, Form:Media and Ekistics combined forces to develop a new brand and built environment for one of Halifax’s most respected restaurants: Mezza Lebanese Kitchen. Building on the restaurant’s reputation for authentic Lebanese cuisine, Form:Media designed a highly distinctive identity that paid homage to the restaurant’s middle eastern roots. The calligraphy-based logo was crafted by hand to emphasize the restaurant’s emphasis on homemade recipes and authentic ingredients. Form:Media was responsible for taking the identity and carrying it through all aspects of the restaurant’s operation—from the in-house graphics and signage to all forms of collateral, including menus, uniforms, napkins and bags

Form:Media also worked side-by-side with Ekistics, who were responsible for every aspect of the built environment—from the preparation of construction drawings to the fabrication of components and overall management of the construction process.

Despite a highly aggressive timeline, the newest Mezza Lebanese Kitchen opened on schedule to a very enthusiastic response in Halifax’s Scotia Square Food Court
